| We
are always looking for volunteers either to train as advisers,
help with administration or provide reception duties.
|
| To
become an adviser you do not need any previous qualifications,
skills or experience as all volunteers receive comprehensive
free training, however, you will need to be open-minded,
non-judgmental, be able to listen, learn and work in a
team. |
| All
volunteers are fully supported and supervised throughout
their involvement with the CAB and they all find their
involvement with us rewarding, satisfying and challenging.
Every volunteer gains something different from their volunteering,
whether it’s putting their existing skills and experience
to good use to help others, gaining invaluable work experience
to enhance their employability, getting involved with
the community or making new friends. |
| If
you can spare a day a week and would like more information
on becoming a volunteer please call Sandra Timms on 01892
653596 or Caroline Mack on 01892 653596. Alternatively,
you can e-mail the bureau: bureau@crowboroughcab.cabnet.org.uk |
“The
great thing about the CAB is that there is always someone
there to help – it really is a team effort. Just
witnessing the raft of queries that clients have makes
one realize what a necessary service the bureau provides.
The fact that in most instances we are able to help
someone work out the answers to their problems is a
huge reward for the time and effort all the volunteers
put in.”
