Uckfield
Citizens Advice Bureau provides free, independent and
confidential advice on many subjects ranging from housing,
employment issues and the legal system to debt, benefits,
family matters and consumer affairs.
We
also offer practical help with filling out forms, drafting
letters and negotiating with third parties such as creditors
and employers.
Through
our Help Desk at Lewes County Court, we are able to
offer advice and support to people in receipt of a possession
summons for mortgage or rent arrears. In addition, our
Money Advisers assist clients who have debt problems,
by drawing up repayment plans and helping them to regain
control of their finances.
Our
aim is to provide local people with the information
and support that they need to enable them to solve their
own problems.
You
can visit the bureau without an appointment (see
map). You may have to wait in our reception area
before an adviser becomes available to see you.
We
are able to offer advice by telephone, please call 01825
764940. Please note that sometimes the lines are very
busy so you may have to leave a message. Alternatively,
you can telephone either Hailsham
CAB or Crowborough
